Las Vegas-based maker wozLOL has introduced the Foxwizard Mini MIDI Multitool, a pocket-size USB-CMIDI adapter and router. The device is hand-built in Las Vegas, with open-source firmware and pricing starting at $25 for the circuit board.

Foxwizard supports TRS Type A, TRS Type B, TS and standard 5-pin DIN MIDI connections. A web interface lets users configure channel routing, controller-message handling, message filtering, transposition and keyboard splits. Once programmed, the unit can continue routing on USB power without a computer connected.

A configurable button can send panic commands, pitch bend, modulation, octave changes, controller messages or note triggers. The device also works as a passive DIN-to-TRS A-to-Badapter without USB power.

The circuit-board version starts at $25; a version with an enclosure and DIN ports costs $40. The maker said the first production batch was ready to ship at launch. Units include a 30-day trial period and one-year limited warranty.
