Hit Factory Plugins has introduced HitVerb, a convolution reverb plug-in developed with Troy Germano, CEO of The Hit Factory Studios. The software uses impulse responses captured in 12 recording spaces at the company’s New York and London locations.

Users can adjust microphone position and distance and choose models based on Neumann U67, Coles 4038 and Sennheiser MKH 800 Twin microphones. Additional controls include high- and low-cut filters, reverb tail length and a setting that adds or removes carpet to change the modeled room reflections.

The plug-in includes presets created by recording engineers and allows users to save their own settings. Its convolution processing reproduces the acoustic response of the sampled rooms for use on recorded material in a digital audio workstation.

HitVerb was scheduled to become available Feb. 24, 2025, through RAD Distribution’s dealer network at a minimum advertised price of $199. A 14-day trial was also announced. The plug-in supports Mac and Windows systems in AAX, VST3 and AU formats.
