LuxuryToneFX has introduced Fire & Flames, a signature high-gain distortion pedal developed with guitarist Amir John Haddad, known as El Amir. The pedal is hand-built in Spain.
The pedal was developed to Haddad’s technical specifications, with a focus on high-gain saturation, note separation and response to the player’s attack. Its factory-adjusted midrange is designed to help guitar parts remain present in a band mix.
The company’s Surgical Dynamics Control uses a calibrated filter ahead of the gain stage to reduce excess bass. The circuit also uses power filtering to reduce the noise floor. Each pedal is assembled by hand and individually calibrated.
LuxuryToneFX is a family-owned guitar effects builder based in Spain. Its other products include the Sunrise overdrive and distortion pedal and the Lord Master treble booster.
Haddad’s work spans flamenco, fusion, classical, blues, rock and heavy music. He has collaborated with Hans Zimmer and has served as a guitar soloist for The World of Hans Zimmer tour since 2018. His soundtrack credits include No Time to Die, The Boss Baby 2 and The Rhythm Section.
