ILIO and Overloud have announced Immersive Studio, a new impulse-response library for the REmatrix convolution reverb platform. The collection contains 270 reverb impulse responses and 100 presets designed by Sabino Cannone of MoReVoX.
According to Overloud, the library creates an immersive sound field on standard stereo speakers without requiring a special playback system. Its design differs from headphone-only binaural processing by supporting conventional stereo monitoring.
The March 18, 2025, announcement also described a smaller Light edition containing 10 impulse responses and 15 presets. The full collection is intended for music production, film scoring and sound design, with presets providing starting points for working with the reverb responses.
REmatrix is a multilayer convolution reverb engine that combines impulse responses and includes an effects chain for shaping the resulting spaces. Users who do not own the full REmatrix software can use the included free REmatrix Player to run premium impulse-response libraries.
Overloud is an Almateq brand based in Modena, Italy. ILIO distributes its products alongside other virtual instruments and audio-processing software. Product details for Immersive Studio and the REmatrix libraries are available through ILIO.
