Serato has released Serato DJ for iOS, bringing its DJ and music mixing software to iPhone and iPad. The app launched alongside Serato DJ 5.0 and is available through the App Store.
The mobile app includes features from the desktop software and the new version 5.0 release, including Lucid Beatgrids, Open Streaming, Cue Loops and iOS Transfer. The transfer function moves tracks, crates and metadata from a laptop to an iPhone or iPad.
Serato says the app supports more than 120 hardware devices. It is designed to let DJs prepare, practice and perform using a familiar workflow on a mobile device.
The launch is accompanied by the DJ Everywhere campaign, featuring A-Trak, DJ Miss Milan, Nick Cheo and Magie Hu. A series of short films follows the artists as they use the mobile software in different locations.
