AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ workflows alongside its existing support for Engine DJ, Serato DJ Pro, and VirtualDJ!

SoundSwitch 2.11 is available now as a free update via the “Download Update” option inside the SoundSwitch software, or at soundswitch.com.

CUMBERLAND, R.I. (September 24, 2026) – SoundSwitch, the beat-synced lighting solution for DJs, today announced SoundSwitch 2.11, now available. With this release, SoundSwitch supports more DJ platforms than ever before, adding official rekordbox integration and AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ workflows alongside its existing support for Engine DJ, Serato DJ Pro, and VirtualDJ. The expanded compatibility opens automated lighting solutions to a new segment of DJs empowering them with a simplified workflow and greater creative control. Reinforcing SoundSwitch’s position as a universal lighting platform, DJs can perform with SoundSwitch regardless of the software or hardware they use. The update also delivers a major overhaul of Static Looks and a redesigned onboarding experience.

SoundSwitch 2.11 gives DJs in rekordbox the ability to autoscript tracks by analyzing their rekordbox library and build a unique light show for every song automatically. Custom scripts can also be used to build a show from scratch with full control over individual fixtures. Beat-synchronized autoloops work even with unanalyzed tracks and streaming services to keep any light show locked to the music.

PRO DJ LINK Bridge connects supported AlphaTheta and Pioneer DJ hardware (the CDJ-3000X, CDJ-3000, CDJ-1500X, DJM-V10/V10-LF, and DJM-A9) to SoundSwitch over a single Ethernet network. The gear sends performance data through the Bridge to a laptop running SoundSwitch, and the laptop drives the lights through a Micro DMX Interface or Control One. DJs can keep playing entirely off their standalone setup while the light show stays automatically synced to their performance. That gives standalone performers, from mobile and wedding DJs to residents at bars and small-to-mid-sized clubs, a practical way to bring automated lighting into rooms that have never had dedicated lighting staff.

Independent of the new platform support, SoundSwitch 2.11 delivers the biggest update yet to Static Looks, the tool DJs use to trigger custom lighting scenes for key performance moments. The update expands capacity to 128 Static Looks across four banks, adds the ability to trigger multiple looks simultaneously, and introduces full parameter independence and new movement effects, and fade in/fade out control. A new active Static Looks pane, the ability to re-arrange looks, and copy-and-paste functionality round out the update, giving DJs a faster and more flexible way to build out a show.

Rounding out the release, SoundSwitch 2.11 introduces a new in-app help system built to get users up and running without ever leaving the software, including contextual help indicators and a built-in feature guide, part of SoundSwitch’s ongoing effort to make professional-grade lighting automation approachable for DJs at any experience level.
