ProMedia Training, the longest-running Avid Pro Tools Certified Training Center in the United States, announced today that Director of Training Mihai Boloni has become the first Professional Solid State Logic (SSL) Certified Instructor in the U.S., marking another milestone in the company’s more than 25-year commitment to professional audio education and industry certification.
The certification recognizes Mihai’s successful completion of SSL’s newly developed instructor qualification process and further reinforces ProMedia Training’s position as the first U.S. Professional Training Partner authorized to deliver SSL’s official Mixing with SSL ( certification program.
One of the world’s most respected names in professional audio, SSL developed its instructor certification program to ensure that students receive training directly aligned with the company’s engineering philosophies, workflows and technical standards. Rather than adapting existing materials, SSL built the program from the ground up, developing official curriculum, certification testing and instructor qualifications in collaboration with its own engineering and education teams.
Mihai’s certification builds on a career spanning more than two decades in professional audio education. Since 2002, he has helped develop and deliver certification programs for working audio professionals, contributing to the evolution of Avid Pro Tools training while leading ProMedia Training’s educational initiatives for engineers, producers, postproduction professionals and broadcasters around the world.
Through its official SSL Mixing Certification Class, ProMedia Training teaches modern DAW mixing techniques derived from SSL console workflows and implemented using SSL’s software ecosystem, with one year of access to more than 100 SSL and Slate Digital plugins for Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, FL Studio and other DAWs. The curriculum is designed for music production, postproduction and other professional audio applications, giving engineers the latest practical skills that translate directly to today’s recording environments.
The next live online Mixing with SSL four-day course will be held November 14, 15, 21 and 22. Prerequisites include proficiency in Pro Tools or another professional DAW. Completion of ProMedia Training’s Pro Tools 101/110 coursework also satisfies this requirement.
