Warm Audio has introduced its new Mod Series, which features three compact pedals designed to deliver the signature tone of the company's larger models in a more space-efficient format. The lineup includes the Centavo Mod, the WA-C1 Mod, and a special collaboration with The Black Keys known as the Peach Fuzz. Each unit maintains the premium components and circuitry of its full-sized counterpart while offering a slimmer enclosure that requires less pedalboard real estate.
The Centavo Mod is the first of the new arrivals and provides the same vintage-accurate circuit and high-quality components as the full-size Centavo. It retains the Gain, Treble, and Output controls along with a Mod switch that extends the low-end response for a fuller character. Warm Audio states that the use of TL072 op amps and premium diodes helps preserve the original circuit's renowned tone.
The WA-C1 Mod preserves the rich, all-analogue chorus and vibrato character of the original device but allows the preamp to be bypassed for more flexible gain staging. It retains expanded controls including independent chorus depth and rate controls, selectable Hi-Z impedance, and wet/dry stereo outputs. The Black Keys Peach Fuzz is a limited-edition collaboration featuring a vintage-inspired 70s Foxy-style fuzz and octave circuit.
