Isla Electronics has released a software plugin, ASYX, which emulates the architecture and sonic characteristics of the Alesis Andromeda A6 synthesizer. According to Synthtopia, the new instrument replicates the original hardware's oscillator and filter designs, featuring a dual-oscillator configuration for each voice.

The ASYX plugin incorporates several features found in the original synthesizer, including dual filters, three low-frequency oscillators, three multi-stage envelopes, and a flexible modulation matrix. It also provides a 16-step sequencer and arpeggiator, along with 29 digital effects. Users will find over 1,200 presets included in the plugin’s preset library.

Owners of the original Alesis Andromeda A6 can utilize the ASYX plugin to import their existing SysEx programs and banks. Furthermore, the plugin facilitates the sharing of patches between the software and hardware versions, and each instance can manage up to 16 parts for keyboard layering and splits. The software is now available for purchase at approximately $136 USD, with bidirectional MIDI support for hardware control.
