AtomoSynth has announced the release of the Mochika X7, a new semi-modular analog synthesizer that builds upon the company’s existing Mochika line. According to Synthtopia, the instrument features an expanded sequencer and additional sound-shaping capabilities.

The Peruvian manufacturer designed the synthesizer to integrate an analog voltage-controlled oscillator alongside a digitally controlled oscillator. It also incorporates a vactrol filter, an ADSR envelope, an LFO, and a voltage-controlled delay.

The X7’s sequencer provides 32 steps, nine playback modes, and the ability to store up to 100 patterns. Furthermore, the device’s sequencer is nonvolatile, preserving patterns even when power is removed.

The synthesizer includes an 18-point patchbay for external routing of synthesis and modulation connections. The VCO generates square and sawtooth waveforms, while the DCO provides square, sawtooth, triangle, and sine waveforms.
