Dingwall has expanded the SP1 bass lineup with a maple fingerboard option, joining the traditional rosewood choice. The instrument retains its multi-scale neck and Novax Fanned-Fret system while incorporating classic bass features like an alder body, maple neck, and the new maple fingerboard. All standard SP1 specifications stay the same, with four or five-string versions offered in Metallic Black, Vintageburst, Dark Candy Green, and Ducati Pearl White finishes.
The SP1 bass features Dingwall’s F3Dn bridge pickup and a Dual-P neck pickup, controlled by a Volume, Tone knob, and Quad-Tone selector that cycles through front-only, series, parallel, and back-only modes. Manufacturing uses a hybrid approach between Indonesia and Canada. The four-string model begins at $2,510, while the five-string starts at $2,605.
