Fender released a highly limited-run Mark Hoppus Stoned Fruit Jaguar Bass available for just 184 hours exclusively through the Fender online store, according to Gearnews. The blink-182 bassist’s signature model carries a $1,499 price tag, features a Guava Green finish and a headstock logo reading Jag, and matches the specifications of the 2024 model. The bass is aimed at the band’s fanbase and includes a sticker packet.
Gearnews reports that Gibson announced 250 Tom Petty Flying V models, with 50 each across five finishes including Graphite Metallic, Heartbreaker Red, Pearl White Metallic, Pelham Blue and Gainesville Gold. Priced at $2,799 each and sold exclusively online, the guitars shipped with an exclusive truss rod cover and sold out entirely, raising questions about whether collectors and scalpers secured inventory.
MXR collaborated with Sonic Research on the Turbo Tuner, which Gearnews identifies as MXR’s first tuner pedal. At $150, it features a real-time strobe LED ring display, five user presets, switchable true and buffered bypass, USB-C connectivity for updates and 9V power-through capability. The product arrives as manufacturers increasingly pursue limited-run signature models to drive consumer urgency in the guitar market.
