Phoenix-based FOH Productions has built a portable production flypack around Riedel Communications video and intercom equipment.

The 27-case system is intended for indoor corporate events with audiences of approximately 1,000 to 12,000 across the United States and Canada. It combines MediorNet distributed video routing with an Artist intercom matrix and Bolero wireless communications.

The system is organized in seven racks and uses redundant fiber connections between production locations. MicroN UHD units provide local video inputs and outputs, while the overall design supports a 288-by-288 routing configuration.

FOH Productions can configure the equipment at its facility before shipping it to an event. That preparation reduces the amount of assembly and configuration required on-site, where the same system must adapt to different venues and production layouts.

Aaron Raymond, the company’s director of engineering, described the flypack as a way to bring a consistent production infrastructure to traveling events while retaining flexibility in the placement of equipment and crew.
