Gibson has opened its third and largest Gibson Garage retail location in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, marking a strategic expansion into the Latin music market. According to Guitar.com, Mark Agnesi, Gibson’s director of brand experience, selected Miami to serve as a hub for Spanish-speaking artists and bands from South America. This new store is double the size of previous locations in Nashville and London, offering a bespoke design rather than adapting an existing space.
The Miami facility, housed in a former parking garage, features a column-free performance area capable of holding 400 people with unobstructed stage views, Guitar.com reported. Agnesi told the publication that the layout allows distinct shop sections for various brands while centering activities around live events and educational clinics. The site also includes a permanent Gibson Gallery exhibit and a mural by a local Wynwood street artist to reflect the city’s culture.
Agnesi explained to Guitar.com that the location supports Gibson’s broader product strategy, which now includes baritone guitars and high-output pickups alongside core models. He noted that recent Epiphone developments are part of this effort to reach diverse musical segments. The retailer aims to converge product, marketing, and history into a single immersive experience for consumers.
