The 2026 Bass Magazine Awards featured an unexpected performance by the band Green Day, significantly elevating the celebratory atmosphere. According to No Treble, the surprise set consisted of seven songs and served as a tribute to bassist Mike Dirnt, who earlier received a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Photographer Jody Miller, who was positioned close to the stage, documented the event. Miller noted that Dirnt alternated between his signature Fender Precision Bass and a newer Epicon Grabber bass during the performance.

The setlist included popular tracks such as “Welcome to Paradise,” “Longview,” “Holiday,” “American Idiot,” and “Basket Case,” delighting fans in attendance. The performance provided a unique opportunity for attendees to witness the band in an intimate setting.

Jody Miller, the CEO of No Treble, is recognized for his work as a bassist, guitarist, engineer, and producer, and is also known for his bass gear demonstrations and podcast.
