HERCULES has launched the DG177B(B) Modular Clamp-On Mic Arm System, a new product developed in collaboration with progressive drummer Craig Blundell, according to a November 1 announcement from KHS America. The system is designed for drum and recording configurations that require multiple microphones in limited spaces, combining a clamp-on design with multi-angle positioning.

KHS America reports the system includes a built-in 3/8-inch microphone thread, a 3/8-inch to 5/8-inch thread adapter, and an adaptive desk/tube clamp with a clamping range of 15–33 mm and a load capacity of 2 kg. The company positions the DG177B as a practical solution for close-miking drum kits and building complex microphone setups for drummers, recording engineers, and live sound professionals.

For touring musicians and live sound engineers, HERCULES also offers the DG177BB two-pack configuration with a carry bag, providing a transportable option for mobile recording sessions, touring, and stage applications. KHS America states the product line reflects Blundell’s real-world performance experience combined with HERCULES engineering.

Retailers can direct customers to product pages for the DG177B and DG177BB on the HERCULES Stands website for additional specifications and purchasing details.
