Sabian has introduced four new effects cymbals aimed at drummers seeking fast, trashy and expressive sounds, according to a product launch announcement from the company.
The release, reported by Sabian, includes the 14-inch STRATUS Zero, 14-inch AA Holy China, 14-inch STRATUS Alto Stax and 8-inch HHX Complex Splash. The company said the models reflect growing demand for shorter, faster and more expressive sounds that allow drummers to shape their voice.
The 14-inch STRATUS Zero features an aero-style cutout pattern that blends O-Zone-style trashiness with a brighter, more articulate top-end. Sabian said its smaller size enhances responsiveness for sharp accents and quick hits. The 14-inch AA Holy China, available in natural and brilliant finishes, includes a raw bell and 12 sets of triple holes for explosive attack and aggressive projection.
The 14-inch STRATUS Alto Stax pairs the STRATUS Zero with the AA Holy China as a ready-made stack solution, delivering a tight burst of trashy white noise with quick, staccato decay. Sabian said it is designed to cut through modern mixes for genres where clarity and aggression go hand in hand.
The 8-inch HHX Complex Splash combines HH and HHX hammering techniques in an extra-thin profile, producing a dark, rich and highly musical tone with fast response and controlled decay. Sabian said the cymbal is suited for subtle accents, ghost notes and intricate phrasing.
