Dreadbox has introduced Alecto, a dual-voice analog percussion synthesizer designed for drum sounds, basses and sustained textures, according to Synthtopia.

Each of the two identical voices features two oscillators with multiple waveform configurations and frequency modulation, a white-noise generator with balance control, dual analog filters and two envelope generators. Controls cover pitch, timbre, attack, decay and pitch-envelope bend, with Click and Attack switches shaping transients. A Drone switch disables the VCA envelope for sustained sounds.

Two independent trigger sequencers with adjustable sequence lengths and clock division enable polymetric patterns. Shared tempo spans 30 to 7,680 BPM. A 21-point patchbay handles trigger, velocity, tune, timbre, morph and bend connections per voice. A wide-range LFO delivers square and triangle outputs. Individual voice outputs, a master output, and clock, start and reset connections support external synchronization.

Alecto works as a standalone desktop instrument or in a Eurorack system, shipping with a 42 HP desktop case and ribbon cable. Synthtopia reports Dreadbox lists the DIY kit at €250 and the assembled version at €315, excluding VAT, with both available directly from the manufacturer.
