Built by hand in Santa Barbara, California, the pickups feature Alnico 4 magnets and a custom wind specification designed to bridge the sonic gap between single coils and humbuckers. Music Instrument News reports that the bridge unit measures 8.4k DC resistance while the neck sits at 7.8k, delivering the articulate response and overdriven character associated with Bonamassa’s sound. The manufacturing process includes historically accurate dimpled bottom plates and wax potting tailored to the artist’s performance requirements.
To drive collector interest and add value, the first 610 units will include a special Nerdville inventory tag, a certificate of authenticity signed by Bonamassa and Seymour W.
