Danish manufacturer Carl Martin has introduced the CM Acoustic, a 300-watt full-range amplifier designed to deliver studio-quality clarity at stage volumes for acoustic performers. According to a report by Premier Guitar, the new unit features two custom-designed 6.5-inch SU65147CM full-range drivers intended to preserve pick attack and harmonic separation without the coloration typical of traditional combo amplifiers. This product launch offers a specialized solution for singer-songwriters and acoustic duos seeking high-headroom performance gear rather than imposing the coloration of a traditional combo amplifier.
Premier Guitar notes that the amplifier includes two independent channels, with the instrument side offering a three-band EQ featuring a sweepable midrange from 220 Hz to 5.1 kHz, alongside limiter and reverb controls. The microphone channel provides a balanced XLR input with phantom power, while additional connectivity includes an effects loop, AUX input, and balanced XLR output for direct venue integration. Assembled in Denmark with wooden side panels, the CM Acoustic carries a street price of $1,299. This release expands the professional acoustic amplification segment available to dealers, providing a compact alternative to portable PA systems for small-venue setups and studio applications while retaining the immediacy and straightforward operation of a dedicated instrument amplifier.
