A nearly 2,800-capacity performing arts venue at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey, has opened with a sound reinforcement system built around L-Acoustics L Series loudspeakers, according to ProSoundWeb.
Manufacturer L-Acoustics collaborated with regional Certified Provider Boulevard Carroll Entertainment Group on the design, developed in Soundvision before presentation to venue owners and the construction team. Boulevard Carroll handled installation under a tight timeline, working within a space that had sat unfinished since the mall opened more than two decades ago.
The main system pairs one L2 over one L2D per side, with eight KS21i subwoofers beneath the stage and three flown KS28 subs behind each main array. Six A10i Focus loudspeakers deliver front-fill coverage. Four over-balcony arrays each combine an A15i Focus over an A15i Wide, while six A15i Wide units and 12 8Xi coaxial systems handle under-balcony coverage. LA7.16i amplified controllers power main, over-balcony and under-balcony systems; LA12X units drive front-fill and subwoofers.
Boulevard Carroll also supplied Yamaha DM7 consoles with Rios, Shure Axiom Wireless, Shure PSM 1000 and Clear-Com antenna distribution. Existing infrastructure constrained cabling, speaker placement and rigging, requiring adapted routing through balcony areas. The venue has hosted concerts, theatrical productions and corporate functions since its March soft opening.
