Hokema has introduced the Kids Kalimba, a nine-note thumb piano designed for children. The acoustic musical instrument is handmade in Germany and has nine clearly labeled notes in Cmajor.
The instrument is designed for small hands. Note names and scale numbers printed on the tines provide a reference for identifying notes and scale degrees, and players can follow the numbers to play melodies. An online songbook and video tutorials accompany the instrument.
We Play Well Together is offering the Kids Kalimba. Its compact, lightweight design allows children to take the instrument along for outdoor and indoor music making.
