IK Multimedia has introduced TONEX Free Unlimited, an expansion of TONEX 2 CS, the free edition of its guitar and bass tone software. Available with TONEX version 2.2, the release unlocks unlimited free ToneNET downloads and unlimited Tone Model creation in the free edition.
The installation includes 40 Premium Tone Models from IK Multimedia and 80 free Tone Models created by Tone Partners, alongside the 15 built-in effects already available in TONEX 2 Player. Users can explore sounds inside the Player, organize a personal library with Favorites and custom folders, and share original Tone Models and presets through ToneNET.
The included TONEX Modeler uses IK's V2 AI Machine Modeling technology to capture amps, cabinets and pedals. Its guided workflow and batch processing for Mac and PC let musicians create digital models of their own gear, with no limit on captures or uploads in the free edition.
Version 2.2 also lets users paste a ToneNET Tone Model or preset URL into the search bar to find and select that content directly. The free CS installer includes the standalone Player, plug-in and Modeler.
TONEX version 2.2 is available through IK Product Manager as a free update for existing users. Paid collections remain separate purchases. The optional TONEX Rig upgrade adds advanced routing, multi-amp setups and expanded effects.
