Klang.io has released a mobile application version of its Transcription Studio artificial intelligence tool. According to Monthly Mixing, the new app is available for iOS and Android devices, allowing users to record audio directly with their phone or import saved files. The application generates instant transcriptions in various formats, including sheet music, tablature, MIDI, GuitarPro, and MusicXML. This mobile release brings the same functionality found in the desktop version to handheld devices, enabling musicians to capture song ideas immediately.
Monthly Mixing reported that the application features five distinct smart transcription modes tailored for different needs, such as single instruments, multi-instrument ensembles, rock bands, orchestral groups, and specific arrangements. The tool supports more than 25 instruments and utilizes AI to automatically detect and separate multiple sounds within a single recording before transcribing them. Results can be viewed in a piano-roll format and fine-tuned in an editor mode before export. Projects are tied to a user account rather than a single device, so work started on a phone can be refined on a desktop or checked on a tablet later. Sebastian Murgul, founder and CEO of Klang.io, stated that this release extends the plug-and-play nature of their desktop product, ensuring musical ideas are captured the moment they happen without waiting until the musician returns to a desk.
