Revv Amplification has highlighted the amplifiers, effects and cabinets used by touring guitarists Sam “Bam” Koltun, Kiki Wong and Sebastien Lefebvre in a series of artist profiles.
Koltun, a Los Angeles-based guitarist and songwriter, has performed with Dorothy, Faster Pussycat and Budderside. In the profile, he describes adding a Revv G2 pedal to his live and studio setups after receiving one while on tour.
“After receiving a Revv G2 pedal from Hoogie while on tour, it provides the perfect ‘extra push’ for dynamic live tones with Dorothy and stacks beautifully with my other drives,” Koltun said in the company’s profile. He said the pedal had also become part of his studio work with Faster Pussycat and Budderside.
Wong, a guitarist for the Smashing Pumpkins, describes using a Revv Generator 120 head. Her pedalboard uses a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 3+ supply, and channel switching is controlled through MIDI.
The company also profiles Lefebvre, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist for Simple Plan. His setup includes a Revv 4×12 cabinet for live rhythm-guitar tones.
The profiles describe how the three guitarists use different combinations of Revv equipment for their respective live and recording work. The company has made the individual artist profiles available through its website.
