HK Audio’s South Korean distributor, Sama Sound Inc., hosted a three-week immersive open house at its Seoul office to introduce the new Lunar and Portable Sub families alongside the Polar 8 MK2 to the regional audio community. According to LSi Online, the event ran from August 11 to 31 and transformed the distributor’s internal rehearsal room into a dedicated pop-up experience space, marking the first time the company combined such a format with a new loudspeaker range launch.
The hands-on demonstration attracted sound engineers, musicians, dealers and students, drawing 120 visitors over 14 opening days, which LSi Online reports significantly exceeded the organizer’s original projection of 70 attendees. Jason Moon, product manager at Sama Sound, told the publication that the initiative aimed to strengthen brand visibility among younger generations by creating an offline environment that naturally encouraged social media sharing.
Demonstrations featured stereo pairs of Lunar 112 XA active loudspeakers paired with Portable Sub 115 A units, while dedicated listening sessions allowed comparisons across the Portable Sound portfolio including the Sonar 110 Xi. Moon explained to LSi Online that visitors responded positively to explanations regarding the Lunar series’ simplified control interface, noting that the strategy successfully communicated the product design philosophy to potential retail and professional buyers.
