Austrian Audio has announced three product nominations for the 42nd NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards.
The finalists are the OC-B6 kick drum microphone, the CC8-SC small-diaphragm condenser microphone and The Arranger reference headphones. The announcement recognizes nominations rather than award wins.
The OC-B6 is a large-diaphragm condenser designed for kick drum applications. Its rotating head provides 220 degrees of adjustment, allowing the microphone’s position to be changed without moving the entire stand. Austrian Audio specifies handling of sound pressure levels above 170 decibels.
The CC8-SC uses the company’s OCC7 capsule with a supercardioid pickup pattern. It expands the microphone line with a more directional option for recording and live sound applications.
The Arranger is an open-back headphone model built around a 44 mm driver with a diamond-like carbon coating. It is intended for reference listening and audio production.
The Vienna-based manufacturer announced the nominations under chief executive Martin Seidl. The three products cover microphone and headphone applications across its professional audio range.
