The Recording Academy’s San Francisco Chapter and Producers & Engineers Wing are co-presenting a track of workshops and discussions at MONO 2026. The music conference is scheduled for Nov. 13-14 at The Midway in San Francisco.
The program covers vocal production, game audio, songwriting, mixing and the use of detection and provenance tools to distinguish human-created music from synthetic material.
A live vocal tracking and production demonstration pairs engineer Karina “Xarina” Flonnoy with vocal producer Tyler Reese. The session is designed to show recording, comping and harmony workflows while addressing the artist’s experience in the vocal booth.
A game-audio career discussion includes Steve Horowitz, Chase Bethea, Clay Xavier and Dani Deahl. Another session introduces attendees to Recording Academy membership, mentorship, advocacy and MusiCares through a conversation with San Francisco Chapter executive director Christen McFarland and Academy members.
The conference’s full program includes additional technical and creative sessions for songwriters, producers and engineers.
