Technics has introduced the EAH-A1000, a new flagship wireless headphone priced at $449.99, roughly $100 more than the EAH-A800 that debuted at CES 2022, according to We Rave You.
The headphone retains the 40mm driver size and LDAC codec support of its predecessor but rebuilds the driver mechanism around Magnetic Fluid technology, which keeps the voice coil centered for more precise diaphragm movement and lower distortion. A cone-shaped pure carbon-fiber diaphragm is designed to suppress resonance and deformation, and an SST Edge structure borrowed from Technics’ high-end speakers controls vibration.
Additional features include Dolby Atmos with head tracking, LE Audio with the LC3 codec, USB Audio for lossless wired playback, Adaptive Noise Cancelling, Ambient Mode and multipoint connectivity for up to three devices. Technics quotes up to 45 hours of playback with ANC engaged and four hours from a 15-minute charge. AI beamforming handles voice calls.
The design uses a single-sided metal Flow Arm and ships in Black and Platinum Greige. The Technics US store lists pre-orders with expected shipping on or before October 15, 2026.
