Technics has announced the EAH-A1000 wireless over-ear headphones, positioned as the brand’s new flagship personal audio product with a listed price of $449.99, according to audioXpress.
The headphones combine 40mm Magnetic Fluid Drivers, a technology previously used in Technics wired in-ear and true wireless models, now extended to a larger over-ear transducer. The ferrofluid-based motor structure stabilizes the moving assembly to reduce distortion, audioXpress reported. Technics pairs the driver with carbon fiber diaphragms and a push-pull surround adapted from its hi-fi loudspeakers.
Connectivity includes LDAC for hi-res Bluetooth, USB Audio for lossless playback, Dolby Atmos with head tracking and three-device multipoint support. The product page specifies Bluetooth LE Audio with the LC3 codec, audioXpress noted, while the Audio Connect app offers a Sound Share feature based on Auracast.
Adaptive noise cancellation uses three feedforward microphones and one feedback microphone per side, adjusting to ambient conditions and fit. AI beamforming handles voice communication. Battery life is rated at up to 45 hours with ANC enabled, with a 15-minute charge delivering four hours of playback.
The EAH-A1000 ships in Black and Platinum Greige finishes with a folding design and carrying case. The metal Flow Arm headband construction and memory foam earpads address comfort and acoustic seal, factors that also support bass response and noise cancellation performance for retailers positioning the product in the premium headphone category.
